Leftist Groups Cancel Cash-Prize GOTV Event After Wisconsin DA Warns Bribery Is Still Illegal

After Brown County District Attorney David Lasee informed them that vote corruption is also prohibited in Wisconsin, Green Bay liberals were forced to cancel a get-out-the-vote push with significant cash rewards. &nbsp,

The initiative, which offered” social media influencers” a top award of$ 1, 000 to turn citizens out to past Tuesday’s Wisconsin flower elections, is the latest example of what leftist parties will do to get Democrat citizens to the elections, a Green Bay- place senator tells The Federalist. &nbsp,

On the social media accounts of its network of left-wing activists, United Front for Change promoted its plan” Get Out the Vote.” The GOTV initiative also provided complimentary food and beverages as well as a “FREE Open Bar” for the best five social media influencers.

That all seems against the Wisconsin act, which opposes election bribery. &nbsp,

In a letter to the senior managers of the organizations that make up United Front for Change: We All Rise: African American Resource Center, Casa ALBA Melanie, and COMSA, as well as 9 to 5 Wisconsin, Lasee wrote,” I have major concerns about this occurrence, but more specifically the social media influencer opposition,” which may conflict with Section 12.11 of Wisconsin’s Regulations, which prohibits “election corruption.”

” Therefore, I would strongly encourage that whomever may be responsible for the social media competition immediately discontinue that activity”, Lasee continued. ” Further, to the extent that you intend to hold the event, which publicizes free food, drinks, and rides to the polls, that you be keenly aware of the restriction set forth in the above referenced statute. That would be against the law to make any item of value available based on whether a person votes or not votes.

    Flier for GOTV event.

Soon after, a post on Casa ALBA Melanie’s Facebook page alerted followers that the event had been canceled:” Este concurso se cancela para evitar malos entendidos y conflictos”. Translation:” This contest is canceled to avoid misunderstandings and conflicts” .&nbsp,

It’s not clear whether the community organizers knew about the legal” conflicts” going on or not. United Front for Change representatives could not be reached for comment. &nbsp,

    ‘ Push The Envelope ‘&nbsp,

The cash-only GOTV drive, according to state representative Shae Sortwell, was just the latest illustration of leftist organizations “push the envelope and get around state law when it comes to proper ways of doing elections.”

The Green Bay-area lawmaker is aware of the subject matter before speaking. In the wake of the 2020 presidential election, he requested access to open records and hundreds of pages of emails exposing the Democratic mayor of Green Bay and his staff working side-by-side with leftist organizations. In connection with the Zuckbucks scandal, where Mark Zuckerberg, the founder of Facebook, and his wife Pricilla Chan allegedly gave grants intended to offset the challenges of Covid-19, hundreds of millions of dollars were dumped into local election offices. The Center for Tech and Civic Life ( CTCL), a leftist organization with connections to the Democrat Party and former US President Barack Obama, administered the funds. &nbsp,

According to The Federalist, CTCL’s network of left-leaning activist groups hacked into Green Bay’s and other large, Democratic-major cities. The room where Green Bay’s absentee ballots were kept on Election Day 2020 was even given to long-time Democratic operative Michael Spitzer-Rubenstein. &nbsp,

Sortwell expressed his satisfaction at seeing the most recent suspect GOTV campaign go unpunished, but he believes it may have lasted a long enough period to affect Green Bay’s election results. Liberals aided in the regaining control of the council by defeating conservative Alder Steven Campbell, according to leftist Joey Prestley. Prestley won by just 15 votes ( 2 percent ) in the low- turnout spring election.

Leftist Mayor Eric Genrich, who has been at the center of multiple city election controversies, congratulated Prestley on social media, taking a shot at Campbell. &nbsp,

The Democrat made reference to Campbell playing the recording of a group of J6 defendants held hostage during the 2021 Capitol riots on his X account, saying that” [W]e wo n’t have to worry about him playing a recording of the Jan 6 Choir during our invocation. &nbsp,

Meanwhile, the mayor is facing federal lawsuits after it was discovered that City Hall had installed surveillance equipment. Plaintiffs claim that the city had used it to spy on political opponents. Genrich and crew did so without the City Council’s permission — or knowledge, according to the complaint.

Sortwell said that Green Bay’s district attorney, a Republican, has been alerted to the election shenanigans of the left. Will leftists, however, take advantage of their most recent blunder? &nbsp,

” They always like to push the envelope”, the lawmaker said. ” It wo n’t surprise me if they make a variation on that and act in a manner that is consistent with what we know they were doing.”

” Trying to win over some members of the left is like playing Whac-a-mole,” said one journalist. They come up with something else to solve the [election integrity ] problem, and we make a law.
