They call themselves the” PBS News Hour”, but if you watch them routinely, you might call them the” PBS Opposition Research Hour”.
When they evaluate former US president Donald Trump as a dangerously extraordinary figure, they frequently sound like Democrats consulting firms. Then they can move around and claim that Joe Biden negotiates with “objectively traditional successes,” as PBS host Amna Nawaz claimed during his State of the Union address.
A category titled” Analyzing Trump’s use of inflammatory speech on the battle trail” was broadcast on PBS on April 2. Two days later, it was changed to” Anatomy of a Trump speech”.
They made the decision to enjoy all the spooky passages from Trump’s most recent remarks with Jennifer Mercieca, who writer Lisa Desjardins blatantly described as” an author and Texas A&, M doctor who specializes in social and Trump rhetoric.”
PBS did n’t note that Mercieca wrote a book in 2020 titled” Demagogue for President: The Rhetorical Genius of Donald Trump”. ( It was shown on screen. ) The dust cover of the book explains “how a humorous pitchman came to be America’s autocratic P. T. Barnum, turning a divided and divided country into his own reality TV show.”
Does this knowledgeable purchasing seem reasonable and healthy to people?
Desjardins explained that he is attacking “anyone who calls it a charitable issue” as Trump attacked Biden for his “border bloodbath.” Mercieca lamented,” It ca n’t be neutral. It ca n’t be a situation at the border. It has to be harsh. It has to be an war. It has to be a bloodbath”.
Really? Their anchor Muhammad disagreed last October when she compared the separation of children from their families at the frontier under Trump as “one of the saddest pages in our present story” that referenced Asian Americans ‘ detention and slavery.
Desjardins undoubtedly repeated the Democrat claim that” there is no evidence of a bloodbath for Americans living there” ( at the border ) and that “multiple studies show that migrants are actually less likely to commit crime than others here.”
Trump lamented,” If we do n’t win on Nov. 5, I think our country is going to cease to exist. It might be our final vote always. Desjardins explained Mercieca’s thesis: This is “what defines Trump”, it’s no “political razzle- stun, but dangerous, exponential fearmongering”.
If that “last poll” talk is dangerous, may PBS pause to Biden’s primary campaign speech again on Jan. 5? Biden said of Trump:” He’s willing to sacrifice our democracy, put himself in power … Trump’s assault on democracy is n’t just part of his past. It’s what he’s promising for the future. We’re in a time when a identified minority is doing everything in its power to try to sabotage our democracy in order to advance their own agenda.
These “public” presenters know what Biden has said in his plan remarks, and they’re okay with it. No one thinks it’s a lie or that it’s risky. Mercieca acknowledged,” All president run as soldiers. It’s not unusual. Best today, Joe Biden is aiming for a heroic role. He’s running as a warrior to preserve democracy”. But she claimed,” Donald Trump is running as a unique form of hero”.
How thus? Desjardins concluded the section with this about Trump:” When he’s saying the situation is dire, when he’s saying politics will stop if I’m not elected, he is implying to some of his adherents, crime may be OK”.
PBS ca n’t imagine Biden’s supporters ever believing that “violence may be OK” despite the fact that he is saying democracy will end if he is n’t elected. PBS makes “news” by Democrats, for Liberals. However, it is unintentionally supported by tens of millions of Republicans who claim to be supporting democracy.
