Working together, the United States and the European Union are trying to address national security problems brought on by China’s “non-market” policies and practices and attempts to dominate the world market for tradition semiconductors.
” We know that based on China’s individual monitoring, about 60 percent of all fresh’ tradition’ chips coming to the business in the next couple of years may be produced by China”, Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo said at a click conference in Leuven, Belgium, on April 5.
We are focused on that industry because we are aware of the Chinese government’s ongoing substantial subsidies for it, she continued.
