The Albanese government’s latest attempt to blame itself for the cost-of-living issue is Craig Emerson’s Interim Report on the Review of the Grocery Code of Conduct, which was previously released as Labor Minister.
Hope much more blame-shifting, but finally nothing as absurd as this one, because Australia is 18 months away from the last possible national election.
For more than a year now, the government and numerous Green/Left friends have been complaining about the “price gouging” of the supermarkets.
This is an absurd say, because Coles and Woollies only make about 2.5 cent for every penny of inventory they sell. But even if it were genuine, how would you resolve the issue?
