After refusing to release the voice of President Joe Biden’s meeting with Special Counsel Robert Hur on Monday, attorney general Merrick Garland runs the risk of being held in contempt of Congress.
Biden’s Justice Department offered to provide the record of Hur’s meeting with Biden’s text writer, Mark Zwonitzer, Axios reported, but Republicans say Biden’s record and sound are needed to conduct oversight of the president’s defined document scandal.
The House Oversight Committee told investigators that the Biden Administration did not get to decide what Congress needed or what it needed to oversee in terms of executive branch monitoring.
The Biden Administration is apparently refusing to release the voice of President Biden’s conversation with the Unique Guidance after the transcript, the statement continued. ” Why should n’t the American people be able to hear the actual sound of his answers? The American people demand accountability from their leaders, no blockage”.
More responses to Garland’s browbeating are apparently forthcoming. Republicans have recently threatened to discredit Garland for not producing the music.
During the government’s meeting with Hur, Biden, 81,  , experienced , emotional errors and “poor storage” at least seven days, according to a record obtained by Breitbart News.
Hur’s inspection, which concluded in February,  , found , Biden “willfully” retained classified records but declined to indict him, citing “insufficient information”. Biden was described by Hur as” an old man with weak memory.”
