    Pence Reacts to Trump’s Stance on Abortion

    Former Vice President Mike Pence responded to original President Donald Trump’s claim that states may choose the laws governing abortion on Monday. In his speech, Trump did not push for a federal ban on contraception, as some other Republicans have touted.

    To sum up, Leah covered on Monday how Trump reportedly said he was pleased that Roe v. Wade was overturned in 2022, but he added that he thinks state laws should be used to consider abortion policies.  

    Trump said,” My perspective is now that we have pregnancy where everyone wanted it legally.” The states may decide what must be the law of the land, whether it is through legislation or both, and by vote or by legislation. In this case, the law of the state.

    “Many claims will be different. Some people may have a different number of weeks, or some will be more liberal than others, he added, and that is what they will be. This is ultimately all about the people’s would, according to the statement. You may follow your heart, or in many instances, your faith or religion. ”  

    He noted, nevertheless, that he is” strongly in favor of exceptions for rape, incest and lifestyle of the family. ”

    Trump’s stance was described by Pence on X ( formerly Twitter ) as a” slap in the face to the millions of pro-life Americans who voted for him in 2016 and 2020″ and added that” too many Republican politicians are all too ready to wash their hands of the battle for life.” ”

    The Trump-Pence Administration helped deliver Roe v. by voting and standing by the assurance of conservative judges. ”Wade to the ash heap of history where it belongs and gave the pro-life action the chance to honestly help women and newborn babies, ” Pence explained. Republican supporters of the adage,” Republicans win on existence when we speak the truth boldly and support the belief that human life begins at vision and must be protected from pregnancy to tomb. ”

    After Trump’s statement, Susan B. Marjorie Dannenfelser, chairman of Pro-Life America, expressed her deep disappointment with President Trump’s place. ”

    The Democrats are working tirelessly to pass legislation that requires an abortion throughout every nine months of pregnancy, ceding the matter to the claims, giving the impression that the issue is being addressed in the national conversation. If successful, they will wipe out states ’ rights, ” she explained. Pregnant children and their mothers deserve regional privileges and protection from the cruelty of the abortion industry. ”
