Texas lawmaker, Rep. Beth Van Duyne ( R- TX ), is encouraging police officers in New York to “escape” New York City and walk to the Lone Star State.
Van Duyne , published an ad in the New York Post urging people in New York to left and “move to Texas.” Van Duyne makes reference to the death of New York Police Department ( NYPD ) Detective Jonathan Diller, who was fatally wounded in a traffic stop last month by 34-year-old Guy Rivera, who had more than 20 prior arrests.
” Ladies and gentlemen of legislation enforcement it’s time to leave New York and proceed to Texas”, Van Duyne’s advertising began.
We published a law enforcement selection campaign in the New York Post now! We urge those soldiers to relocate to North Texas if radical-left New York officials refuse to support the valiant men and women who work in law enforcement. We were heartbroken over the foolish and wholly tragic loss of your brother in violet, NYPD Officer Johnathan Diller, like so many others around the state,” Van Duyne continues in her campaign. We grieve for you, the home he leaves behind, and the law enforcement sector, which has experienced too many of these avoidable tragedies.
The Texas lawmaker then criticized the “pro-crime” politicians who “attempted to push themselves into the solemn memory of Officer Diller’s noble career.”
Every bit of contempt and resentment we can muster, Van Duyne said,” These equal terrible officials who perpetually work to defame violent criminals back onto the roads, degrade the function of law enforcement officers, and put everyone’s lives in danger.”
Van Duyne stated that, to New York Gov. Officers in New York are viewed as “nothing more than a photo op when they can take credit,” according to Katherine Hochul ( D), New York Attorney General Letitia James ( D), and Alvin Bragg ( D), as “punching bag” to” satisfy their extremist base.
” Meet us in the Lone Star State where we love and respect our law enforcement officers”, Van Duyne added, highlighting how the” cost of living is lower” and the “quality of life is better” in Texas.
Van Duyne’s ad comes as Suspect officials are leaving at great prices. The NYPD is” shorting over 7, 000 police officials from the highest heights” and was continuing to shed “more than 200 police officers a month,” according to Patrick Hendry, president of the Police Benevolent Association.
