Carnie Wilson , is offering an update on her prominent parents,  , Beach Boys , inc- founder , Brian Wilson, after the family filed to place him under custody amid his fight with memory.
” It’s been a tough month”, she told Entertainment Tonight, half referring to the , Jan. 30 , dying of , Melinda Ledbetter Wilson, Brian’s woman of 28 centuries.
Despite the loss, the former , Wilson Phillips , vocalist , says her 81- yr- aged father is doing well.  , She’s also getting the chance to spend more quality time with the , Rock &, Roll Hall of Famer , behind’ 60s hits like ,” Surfin ‘ U. S. A” . , and” God Only Knows”.
” He’s got so many wonderful people around him”, Carnie, 55, shared. ” Our home is coming up and we’re taking care of him and that’s all that counts”.
According to the most recent custody processing, Wilson is battling a “major neuropsychological disorder ( such as memory )” and is therefore “unable to properly provide for his own personal needs for physical health, food, clothes, or shelter,” which were previously handled by Melinda.
His long-term partner was named his custodian in a prior Advance Health Care Directive, but there was no son named in the event of her passing. The family so petitioned the jury to officially appoint , Jean Sievers, the leader of PR firm , Beachwood Entertainment Collective, and accountant , LeeAnn Hard , as custodians. Both “had a close connection with Mr. and , Mrs. Wilson , for many years, and , Mr. Wilson , believes them”, the registration said.
In a , Feb. 15 , Instagram post confirming the alterations, the household noted:” Brian will be able to appreciate all of his family and friends and continue to work on existing projects as well as participate in any hobbies he chooses”.
Carnie said her father” also has that nature” and is” the strongest people” she’s ever known.
” He’s lovely and delicate at the same time and he’s delicate, but he’s powerful, so audio keeps him alive”, she said. ” He listens to , Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin… He puts on his song every day”.
