China sanctions 2 U.S. companies over ‘support for arms sales to Taiwan’

China imposed sanctions on two U.S. security companies on Thursday over what it claims are their efforts to sell arms to Taiwan, the self-governing island democracy Beijing claims is its own territory that can be forcefully reclaimed if needed.
