CNN contributor Bob Costas said Thursday on” Newsroom” that O. J. Simpson was “beloved”  , before the 1994 murders of his ex- wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ronald Goldman in Los Angeles.
Anchor Wolf Blitzer asked,” What’s your response to the demise of O. J. Simpson? How do you suppose he may get remembered”?
Costas said, Well, as wonderful as he was as a person, and it’s not enough to suggest he was a Hall of Fame superior player. In the past of college football and later the NFL, he was one of the best running backs. And he also had a superior that’s difficult to define, and data single do n’t get it.”
He continued”, He was wonderful to watch. And he was always polite with the push, he was cheerful. He was not just admired but favorite. And then to your place about being a social power, this is all prior to the deaths, he was, if not the second, he was the first to do it in a big way. An Egyptian- American sportsman who broke through.”
Costas added”, Piece of that was about exemplified by a small typical type of orange haired lady saying,’ Go O. J. go.’ as he dashed through the airports in the rent-a-car advertisements and there were zillions of others.
