When using a smartphone, you point your camera at a QR id and tap to check instead of typing a URL. One type of QR code connections to a fixed location on the internet ( known as a stable QR code), and the other one directs users to a powerful QR code that is updated.

On an phone, Apple’s camera game includes QR code check support. Google Assistant and the Google Camera game, both with Google Lens style, let you place your cameras at a QR code on an Android device and use the words “scan QR password” and “scan QR code” to record and search.

We’ll examine several techniques that work well to make QR codes that let users access websites and other information without having to enter a contact.

How to use Chrome to make QR code

Find A lists the free QR code engine for web pages in Google Chrome ( Number A). On every desktop version of Chrome, the complimentary QR machine feature is integrated into the Share program, which is accessible on both iOS and Android.

Create a QR code link to web resources in the Chrome and Chrome OS browser.
Find A: In the Chrome and Chrome OS website, create a QR code connection to websites.

Note: Various types of Chrome provide various QR code features. Chrome on iOS provides a common QR code that does not include the dragon emblem, while Chrome on Android and browser versions already display the QR script with a dragon in the middle.

    Android

In Chrome on Android, view as common to a web site, next:

    1. Touch the three- dot selection.
    2. Select Promote.
    3. Select QR Code. Figure B shows how to save the code to your system using the button Download ( Figure B).
On Android, tap the three-dot menu, Share, then QR Code to generate a code for a page.
Find B: On Android, touch the three- dot list, Share, next QR Code to generate a code for a page.

    iOS

In Chrome on iOS, browse as normal to a web page, then:

How to use QRbot to create QR codes

In addition to enabling other actions, such as adding a contact, connecting to Wi-Fi, sending an email or SMS, or making a call, QRbot allows you to create codes that link to a web page ( Figure E).

QRbot, with web, Android and iOS apps, lets you create QR codes for a variety of links and actions.

More options: Create a QR code with Adobe, Canva and ChatGPT Plus

There are many more ways to create a QR code, as listed below.

    Adobe

Adobe suggests that QR codes make it easy for people to access a “website, social media accounts, and other online resources”. With an Adobe account, you can use its free Adobe Express QR code generator, which offers a few style, color and file format options ( Figure H).

    Canva

In its web-based editor, the online design platform Canva offers a QR code generator. Create a QR code ( Figure I ) for free with a Canva account, change the margin size, background color, and foreground colors, and then insert the graphic as desired into your design.

    ChatGPT

Even AI chatbots are entering the QR code- generation competition. Create a QR code using a prompt ( Figure J) for subscribers to ChatGPT Plus from Open AI, the creator of the well-known chatbot ChatGPT. For example, try:

Create a QR code that links to https ://techrepublic.com

The system responds, providing a link to the QR code images you requested. To create a QR code that connects to any public link you prefer, you can modify the above prompt.

ChatGPT Plus subscribers can prompt for a QR code that links to a URL (left), which the system creates and makes available as an image (right).
Figure J: ChatGPT Plus users can request a QR code that links to a URL created and made publicly accessible ( right ).

How do you use QR codes?

During COVID- 19 efforts to minimize physical contact points, the use of QR codes increased, especially for marketing and accessing online menus. Many sales systems, such as OpenTable, Shopify and Square, let business owners generate multiple QR codes for customers.

Do you use QR codes at your organization? If so, what types of information do you link to for your customers: menus, social media marketing, Wi- Fi sign- in)? What tools or applications do you employ to create QR codes? Let me know how you use QR codes on X, formerly known as Twitter, at @awolber.
