According to a number on democratic MSNBC, teaching students the Bible off-campus during the daytime would render them, as she put it, a part of what she called the” Church of Trump” and influence “what happens at the ballot box.”
The most recent of three reports on MSNBC and/or family company NBC on , the volunteer LifeWise Academy, whose buses transport around 30 000 learners across the nation during the school week, take them to an affiliated religion or other off-campus religious organization, give them Bible lessons, and then return them to their schools, was Alex Wagner’s remarks.  ,
The three information and/or commentary pieces , were important, to varying degrees, of the volunteer for presumably “blurring” the lines of church and state, with one claiming that LifeWise has become a tool of the Right to turn democratic, Democrat- run , cities more traditional.  ,
In the most recent article, Wagner also attempted to connect LifeWise to former US President Donald Trump.  ,  ,
The left-leaning host claimed that Trump has “managed to change his Christian supporters into politically holy voters, members of the Church of Trump.”
The relation of Trump to the Bible- training volunteer, Wagner claimed, lies in that LifeWise influences” the heads of public school kids in liberal cities like Columbus]in Ohio ]”. She even went so far as to claim that the Bible system had “determine what happens at the ballot box.”
At the time of release, neither MSNBC nor NBC responded to requests for comment.  ,
LifeWise’s methods may shock some, but they’re completely legitimate in the United States, says Joel Penton, the nonprofit’s chairman and CEO.  ,  ,
The Supreme Court, in a 1952 situation, Zorach v. Clauson, permitted New York City students to keep their schools for religious education. Many families are frequently surprised when given the option of afternoon Bible lessons for their children because that circumstance is largely unknown, according to Penton. Families frequently assume that the government is in complete control of their child’s academic performance.  ,
” I know what people are feeling”, Penton said. ” They’re feeling that the school owns that time—the state owns the time of 8 a. m .]to] 3 p. m., or whatever the school day is, and that’s just not true” . ,  ,
Now, LifeWise serves 323 institutions in 12 says, totaling about 30, 000 K- 12 students, Penton said in a new telephone meeting.  ,
According to the nonprofit’s leader, LifeWise provides services to students in 12 claims, starting in kindergarten through the 12th grade. Some 250 of the programs serve primary schools, a majority of the full.  ,  ,
There’s no fee for membership in LifeWise, Penton said, for either university methods or the student members.  ,  ,
” We want to make the Bible available to all of them ]students ]. And that’s what we’ve been trying to build, a connect- and- enjoy program any area is implement”, he said. In a Los Angeles County class, new programs are being developed for schools in Washington state and also California.  ,  ,
He stated that by the fall, he hopes to have LifeWise operational in at least 20 claims and 500 institutions.  ,  ,
