Hispanic voters are supporting the development of a border wall and arrests as a result of the government’s decision to support immigration.
According to an Axios- Gallup Latino Poll, 42 % of Latino parents said they support the creating of a border wall along the U. S. Mexico border, a 12 % increase from December 2021. Additionally, 38 % support deporting all illegal immigrants to their country of origin, a 10 % increase from 2021.
Additionally, according to the poll, 64 % of Latinos favor granting the president the power to impose a border wall if too many newcomers enter.
The surveys examines Latino voters ‘ growing opposition to immigration and growing aid for Trump, even though President Joe Biden also commands a larger portion of the vote.
Additionally, views are divided according to nationality. Compared to just 37 % of Mexican Americans and 43 % of Central Americans, Cuban Americans have the highest level of support for a border wall, at 58 %.
Surprisingly, Latinos believe Trump is better on immigration than Biden — 29 % say Trump is good on immigration, compared to just 22 % for Biden.
On other pressing problems, Latinos favor Trump over Biden. On the economy, 42 % of Latinos prefer Trump over Biden ( 20 % ). On crime and public safety, 31 % support Trump over Biden ( 20 % ).

Latinos perceive the Republican Party in a very negative light, with Trump himself gaining significantly more help. Only 17 % of Latinos believe the Republican Party shares their values, compared to 32 % for the Democratic Party. Trump’s approval rating is 32 % higher than that of the Republican Party. In contrast, Biden has a 41 % preference score.
The poll was conducted from March 22- 28 by Ipsos, surveying 1, 012 Latino people. 3.6 % of the problem ratio is plus or minus 3.6 %.
