During a Wednesday budget hearing before the House Appropriations Committee, education secretary Miguel Cardona declined to comment on whether men and women had real differences.
The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics ( NAIA ) announced on Monday that they are prohibiting male athletes who identify as female from participating in women’s sports, and Cardona was asked about the question during the budget hearing.
Rep. Andy Harris (R-MD) questioned Cardona about the significance of Title IX before posing questions about the natural differences between men and women, according to the Daily Caller.

According to the Washington Post, the Biden administration is preparing to start overhauling Title IX regulations from the Trump era, which may govern how school officials deal with gender discrimination and may protect trans individuals.
