In a statement focused on contraception in Arizona, Vice President Kamala Harris attacked former US President Donald Trump and pledged to reinstate Roe v. Wade.

” This struggle is about freedom”, Harris said. And the flexibility that is essential to the promises of America. That includes the right to choose what to do without the state telling people what to do.

Harris has become the Biden administration‘s leading director on the issue of contraception since the Supreme Court in 2022 rejected Roe, the judge’s five- decade- ancient decision that granted abortion rights.

Within days of an Arizona Supreme Court ruling that reinstated an 1864 law that forbids almost all pregnancies, Friday’s statement in Tucson was made public.

” They have turned back the clock to the 1800s to take away a woman’s most fundamental right”, Harris said,” the right to make decisions about her own body”.

Abortion was a crucial component of the Democratic semester campaign, and it will be in the general election because also.

Rep. Ruben Gallego ( D- AZ ) traveled with Harris aboard Air Force Two from Washington, D. C., to Arizona and promised that abortion would be a big part of his Senate campaign.

” Trump did this”, he told reporters en route to the conversation. If he did n’t appoint those three judges who ended up overturning Roe v. Wade,” We would n’t be having this issue at all.” And you have ]GOP Senate candidate ] Kari Lake, who was a cheer for this geographical law”.

Harris hammered that style home very:” Former President Donald Trump did this”, she said.

Trump has recently made an effort to distance himself from the anti-abortion action and has also called for the repeal of the 1864 laws.

” The Governor and the Arizona Legislature has apply HEART, COMMON SENSE, and ACT IMMEDIATELY, to cure what has happened”, he posted on Truth Social. ” Consider, it is now up to the States and the Good Will of those that represent THE PEOPLE”.

He contends that Democrats support the contentious process of “up until the moment of birth” and are abortion extremists. He is calling for instances for murder, adultery, and the life of the family. Democrats in Arizona claim that the decision was excessive.

” Today’s ruling is a disaster for women and providers”, Rep. Juan Ciscomani ( R- AZ ) said in a statement on Tuesday. ” In Arizona, our 15- year rules protected the rights of girls and fresh life. It admired people and made the hard choice to end a pregnancy, which I will never be able to do so myself.

However, Harris and her group claim that Trump’s position on abortion plan has already changed.

According to a statement released earlier on Friday, Biden campaign spokesperson Sarafina Chitika said,” The direct result of Trump overturning Roe” and every pregnancy restrictions across the country. Nothing he says may stop the panic and cruelty that his actions have caused for women all over the country.

Harris, who has stated he wo n’t, predicted that Trump would pass a law enacting a national abortion ban. Some GOP officials, somewhat Sen. Lindsey Graham ( R- SC), have pushed for a regional restriction after 15 weeks of pregnancy.

Liberals believe that abortion is a winning issue that could lead to victories in Florida, Arizona, and other bounce state.

Harris, cheered on by a friendly group, predicted that may arise.

” This is 2024, not the 1800s, and we’re not going back”, she said, promising that President Joe Biden would sign a law restoring Roe if reelected. Joe Biden and I will be sent back to the White House because of your energy.
