Given the fact that much of Thursday’s news cycles were dominated by the death of O. J. Simpson, it should n’t have been that surprising Simpson was invoked during the White House press briefing. Apparently, the ever- inexperienced Press Secretary Karine Jean- Pierre had a cringeworthy solution.
Since Darlene Superville has always been a Biden hack, she probably assumed she was helping the White House with her third question, which is about the corrupt and disgraced former NFL player ( after two about Israel ), titled” Was there any response from the President to O. J. Simpson’s death?” Are you aware of their past interactions? If thus, how? When”?
Setting off the unintentionally fairly on- the- head” crossed paths” expression, Jean- Pierre’s answer showed perfect callousness to the family of those many believe Simpson killed, Nicole Brown Simpson and Ronald Goldman.
” So, I’ll say this”, Jean- Pierre began ( as she often does ) before adding” ]o ] ur thoughts are with — with his families during this difficult time — obviously, with his family and loved ones”.
Yeeesh. The government has been left scratching its head by the imaginative plethora of reactions to a movie tweet that contained the exchange. It appeared to be Simpson was some eminently famous politician or government official, not a person with the moniker” The Liquid,” whose reckless conduct led to a life of damage after avoiding guilt in the murder of Nicole and Ron.
Alluding to the post from Simpson’s accounts by his household announcing his suicide, Jean- Pierre concluded:
]A ] nd I’ll say this. We will honor their request for some privacy, as I am aware of. I’ll just keep it it.

KARINE JEAN- He: Thus, I’ll say this. Our thoughts are with — with his people during this difficult time — naturally, with his home and loved ones, and I’ll say this. We will honor their request for some privacy, as I am aware of. I’ll just keep it it.
