Trump’s campaign requested that the commission routine the debates more frequently and early in a letter obtained by Breitbart News on Thursday.
We are in favor of these conversations beginning many earlier, according to Trump co-campaign professionals Susie Wiles and Chris LaCivita, even though the Commission on Presidential Debates has now announced three political disputes and a vice-presidential conversation will take place after this time.
According to Wiles and LaCivita, the conversations may start sooner than usual in the 2024 period because “voting is beginning earlier and earlier, and as we saw in 2020, tens of millions of Americans had already voted by the time of the first conversation.”

By the third scheduled debate on October 9th, Wiles and LaCivita estimated that “approximately 8.7 million Americans will have already voted.”

The Commission ceded to the Biden campaign’s demands on all fronts, including changing the date of the debates, cancelling COVID- 19, turning over President Trump’s microphone repeatedly in the middle of a debate, and choosing a clearly anti-Trump moderator who was in good company with Joe Biden. The Commission must make sure that the 2024 Commission-sponsored debates are truly fair and conducted impartially in such a setting. Fairness is of paramount importance in such a setting.
We would support adding more debates in addition to those on the currently proposed schedule, and the Commission needs to change the schedule of its proposed 2024 debates to ensure more Americans have a full chance to see the candidates before voting. President Trump has already stated that he is willing to debate anything, anywhere, and anytime, and that the moment is now to start these debates.
Additionally, the Republican National Committee ( RNC ) supports frequent debates.
