A group of roughly 24 workers who were locked inside a tractor-trailer were rescued earlier this week by Rio Grande Valley Sector Border Patrol agents. The truck drivers reportedly made the discovery while trying to smuggle people through the Brooks County, Texas, Falfurrias Border Patrol checkpoint.
Gloria Chavez, a Rio Grande Valley Sector Chief Patrol agent, reported on social media that her agents encountered a tractor-trailer carrying a weight of nearly two dozen illegal immigrants who had crossed the border illegally and managed to avoid arrest at the borders. The agencies that are stationed at the Brooks County station for the Falfurrias Border Patrol are located on U.S. Highway 281.

The business chief praised her brokers for locating the false walls and rescuing the migrants, who may have saved their lives.

Rio Grande Valley Sector officials encountered only over 9, 000 migrants in March, according to an illegal Border Patrol statement that Breitbart Texas reviewed. This is down from the 11, 947 workers apprehended in February, according to the Southwest Land Border Encounters record. The February apprehensions were down 20 percent from the almost 15, 000 apprehended one year earlier, the document says.
