Eight reportedly equipped jewelry shop robbers allegedly escorted from Oakland’s Phuong Jewelry on Wednesday as the 76-year-old owner, who was holding a shotgun, walked out of the store.
ABC 7 reported the attempted robbery occurred in broad light, around 12: 30 p. m.
The 69-year-old mother was employed at the time of the supposedly assault when Phuong Jewelry was owned by her community.
According to ABC 7,” Surveillance shows 69-year-old mother Diane scurrying for help and screaming for help as those eight people blow almost every case and pillage the store. Diane’s 76-year-old partner storms in with a gun in a panic attack that scares the suspects apart because there was no security guard present at the time.
At around 12:30 yesterday, 8 trained offenders stormed the beloved Oakland, Chinatown store Phuong Jewelry.
The home tells me, in less than one second 85- 90 % of their products was taken.

The users claimed the incident on Wednesday was” the worst assault that the family-owned business had experienced,” despite the fact that the business has previously been robbed.
In Oakland, which was run by Democrats, violence increased significantly in 2023.
On February 2, 2024, CNN observed , that police data showed” Robberies grew 38 % last year in , Oakland, …burglaries increased 23 %, ]and ] motor vehicle theft jumped 44 %”.
