With the student loan program he announced earlier in the week, White House Council of Economic Advisers member Heather Boushey stated on Thursday’s spread of Bloomberg’s” Balance of Power” that President Joe Biden is fighting inflation and its effects by “lowering the cost of undergraduate bill for all of those debtors.”
Boushey stated,” T]he President has been focused on making sure that he lowers the costs for people by using all the tools that he has at his waste.” This is the first President to bargain with Big Pharma regarding prescription drug costs. That’s going to reduce costs for elders all across the country. Of course, he’s lowering the cost of undergraduate loan for all of those loans. He made a significant statement earlier this week that will change 30 million consumers nationwide. And he’s really focused on all the other methods that the prices are rising. For instance, all the administrative work we’ve done to eliminate those” bad fees,” those “hidden costs” that we must all bear. The President is doing his piece to address the fact that people have been struggling to pay these high charges and is doing everything in his power to lower them as they continue to add up.
