Over two hundred boats broke loose from a Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania bay Friday evening, causing “extensive injury” as they floated down the Ohio River without power.

Both the McKees Rocks Bridge and the West End Bridge have been temporarily shut down after 26 Campbell Transportation Company vessels, generally loaded with “dry cargo”, began heading inland, CNN information.

14 continued down the river, and 6 went over a bridge, despite the city’s claim in a press release, stating that 11 ships had been found and pinged against the bank of the river.

At 11: 25 p. m., Pittsburgh Fire, EMS, and Police were dispatched for reviews of ships breaking loose and floating unrestrained down the Ohio River. &nbsp,

In full, 26 ships broke loose, 23 were loaded and three were clear. No dangerous items were aboard, and the filled ships had dry goods like coal. There have been no reports of people injured, but Peggy’s Marina sustained considerable damage. &nbsp,

Brunot Island has located and pinned eleven of the ships against the river bank, and they are currently being held by a speedboat. Six have crossed the Emsworth Dam, and fourteen have continued down the river. &nbsp,

Officers added that” when it is determined that it is healthy to do so,” both nearby roads may be reopened.

“]The ships ] may or may not come into contact with post- composition but we are not willing to take the risk”, authorities said.

The tragedy comes just two days after Baltimore, Maryland’s Francis Scott Key Bridge was destroyed in a cargo vessel motion, which painfully killed six construction workers.
