Samuel Ogoshi, 22, and Samson Ogoshi, 20, were both deported from Lagos to the U. S. in August 2023 after being connected to the demise of Jordan DeMay, who shot himself in March 2022 after being tricked into sending explicit pictures of himself, NBC News reported.

The student was later discovered dead in his house on March 25, 2022, according to the news outlet.
Ezekiel Robert, the second reported scam, has filed an appeal against his extradition and is still in Nigeria, despite the fact that the Ogoshis were safely brought to Michigan to face justice.  ,
U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Michigan, Mark Totten, announced on Wednesday that the boys “each admitted to conspiring to sexually abuse young boys” in a media release.

The district attorney’s office noted that the research was a collaborative work between the FBI, the Marquette Sheriff’s Department, the Michigan State Police Cybercrimes Unit, the U. S. Department of Justice’s Office of International Affairs, the U. S. Department of State, as well as the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission of Nigeria and the Nigerian Attorney General’s Office.
