EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — A Venezuelan regional was arrested and charged in a stabbing in high East El Paso on Saturday, April 13, that started off as a private debate, the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office said.
The lieutenant assigned to University Medical Center was reportedly informed by medical staff of a potential aggravated assault, according to the sheriff’s office.
The victim’s brother informed the investigating officers that she had been stabbed at their home along the 13000 strip of Bachimba Dr. in much East El Paso.
According to the deputies, more information led to the discovery that the victim, who was only identified as a Venezuelan, and his family were involved in a local assault when she attempted to act.
During the encounter, the suspect stabbed the target, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, the believe was taken into custody and placed under arrest for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and assault/family crime.
No information about the victim’s severe injuries was made public.
