Professor of Princeton Eddie Glaude Jr. said Tuesday on MSNBC’s “Deadline ” that if former President Donald Trump wins the November election, it will end “democracy. ”
Glaude said, “Democracies require specific kinds of people to function, and we’ve really got to be better, become better people. ”
He continued, “We have to know who we are and what I’m looking for is a politics of caring. When we tend to each other’s normal daily life on the ground, close to the ground. I’m looking for a coalition of the good, of the loving and caring. Traditions who want to rob us of our innocence. Lastly, untether us from this drivel that has produced this. ”
The other side of it, according to host Nicolle Wallace, is that there is no longer a sense of ego like everything you do is that we are trying to pass the time. If we can recover from this, it seems like this election will be crucial. ”
Glaude said, “If Trump wins, I think politics is a pack in the country. ”
He added, “That is no rhetoric. We have to know why that ’s the situation. Not just because of Donald Trump, either. We are aware of how long we have experimented with this fuel. We have to suddenly give us this thought that we are a bright country, men, homosexual. Finally, we must come to terms with the fact that this effective variety is the source of America’s spirit. ”
