The American government’s society secretary urged this week that the leaders of sports organizations come together to ban trans athletes from competing in elite female sports events.
According to UK Culture Secretary Lucy Frazer, biologically male trans athletes have an “indisputable top ” over their female counterparts, so sports organizations should outlaw trans membership.
In the Daily Mail, Frazer wrote,” I called up representatives from important sports organizations, such as the England and Wales Cricket Board and Football Association, to urge them to follow the example of other activities and forbid trans athletes from competing against people at the highest stage.” She criticized sports leaders for breaking federal regulations that require them to take justice and safety into account when making such decisions.
The culture minister argued that sports organizations have a responsibility to set out clear instructions and adopt an unequivocal position for women competing in sport.
“ In competitive sports, science matters. And where adult strength, size and body structure gives athletes an irrefutable advantage, this should not be ignored. By preserving the female category, they can maintain the competitive sports healthy and good and inspire the young women who long to become world-class athletes. ”
Frazer argued that sports organizations could establish an “open” category for transgender athletes so that the “female ” category could be reserved for women, making it clear that “everyone can participate and nobody suffers an unfair advantage.” ”

Over 100 best American sportswomen were polled last month and were found to be against completing the transgender athlete. They were too afraid to speak out publicly out of fear of being labeled as prejudiced, and others feared losing their jobs if they opposed trans philosophy.
Demonstrating the stigma around the area, the BBC reported that its review was sent out to 615 players in 28 sports, but only 143 responded to the research.
The long-awaited Cass report, which concluded that so-called trans medication was built on” shaky ground” and that there was no evidence to support the use of life-altering puberty-blocking medicines and hormone, was the subject of Frazer’s responses.
According to Frazier, one of the many lessons from the Cass Review is that passivity and failing to address the issues at issue are unavoidable. ”
The culture minister pointed to cycling and running, both of which have barred trans athletes from taking part in sexual events, as instances of “positive development ” on the topic, but said that there needs to be a culture-wide arrangement on the subject.
We must return to providing equal using fields for people in competition. We need to give people a recreational opportunity, ” she said.
