Steve Hackett, the former guitar for Genesis, was taken to a doctor over the weekend as he prepared to play a canceled present at the Phoenix Celebrity Theatre.
In a Sunday Facebook article that included a picture of the singer in a medical room connected to health products, the 74-year-old singer apologized for the fear. Hackett explained in the blog that he had abruptly left the Saturday display as part of his tour of Genesis Revisited 2024 North America and Foxtrot at 50.
I had a respiratory illness and a last-minute negative response to medication, but I was able to get through the Phoenix show, ” Hackett wrote. “Consequently, the physicians took me to doctor. ”
The “Supper’s Ready ” and “Watcher of the Skies ” musician said that he’s recovering and “glad to be feeling OK, ” but was upset about his no-show.
I was very disappointed I did n’t see the show, and I will play again in Phoenix as soon as possible. My thanks to you all for your knowledge and support, ” he wrote.
If Hackett may miss any more shows, it is unknown. As of Tuesday, cards were still on sale through his website for his Wednesday music in Guadalajara, Mexico, and his Friday presence in Mexico City.
On Tuesday, The Times asked for comment from musicians ‘ members, who were not immediately available.
On 1971’s “Nursery Cryme, ” Hackett made his Genesis album debut. ” The liberal stone party, which began in 1966 in England’s exclusive Charthouse class, was founded by Mike Rutherford and a young Tony Banks, Peter Gabriel and Anthony Phillips. But the account changed regularly, with drummer-vocalist Phil Collins and Hackett hired as alternatives in 1970. Hackett left the group in 1977 because he “needed autonomy” and was replaced by guitar Daryl Stuermer.
Hackett’s latest tour calls back to the classic albums he made with Genesis, including the anniversary of 1972’s “Foxtrot ” album, and highlights his latest solo album , “The Circus and the Nightwhale, ” which he released in February.
