On Wednesday’s broadcast of “CNN NewsNight, ” Rep. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was never “capable of peace, ” according to Nancy Pelosi (D-CA ), and there needs to be an investigation beyond the one Israel is conducting in order for Israel to obtain more weapons.
Pelosi said, “Netanyahu has to come near. He has not been a peace-oriented man. I’ve has been consistently questioned over generations whether he was capable of peace, whether he desired to complete peace, or whether he was afraid of peace. And what transpired on October 7 makes me feel but depressed. It was terrible what Hamas, which is a criminal organization, did in Israel was hideous, and the reply that Israel has made is one that has significant humanitarian concerns. And so, we’d like to see aid for Israel to protect itself. That is both in our best interests for them to be safe in that harmful area and for us to stop children and families from starving and famine. ”
She added, “ Well, what we have said in a letter a week or so ago was that there has to be an analysis of how that happened, and we should n’t get giving any more arms until that happens. Today, the Israelis are conducting an investigation. I believe we must go further than that. I believe there should be an impartial research into how that occurred. It was beyond the white. But nevertheless, the email that we sent was quite distinct in terms of, you may check this, because we need to understand how this could have happened. ”
