According to Krasner, the device will tackle bail revocation hearings as well, contacting judges there to get information on whether suspects have empty gun possession charges against them in those cases.
According to Krasner, the unit is supported by the City Council, and it will also collaborate with the Philadelphia Police Department to find out if those who break the law have connections to criminals.
The unit’s guide, assistant district attorney Jeff Palmer, predicted that it would have a “profound effect ” on violent violence and gun ownership in the area, focusing on knowledge meeting to stop crime before it occurs.
I am well-versed in the effects and danger of using illegal weapons in our area, as well as the small percentage of very dangerous criminals who pose a significant threat to the majority of Philadelphia’s peace-loving and wonderful people, ” Palmer said.
