Rep. As some House Republicans fight to change House rules to protect Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA ), Thomas Massie (R-KY ) made an explosive allegation on Thursday.
After the VP, the House Speaker will be in line for leader, according to Massie’s post on X. According to Speaker Johnson, he may use his shrinking authority to alter the laws of the House in order to keep his power. This happens in fruit states, no Democratic States. ”

Massie’s stunning admission that Johnson’s national aspirations are the source of his afterwards parliamentary power grab and his reversals of long-held policy positions will undoubtedly cause a stir in Washington.
Johnson acknowledged on Thursday that he is considering including a provision that may raise the level for the activity to be withdrawn. Now, only one part can power a movement to abandon vote.

The effective Rules Committee is led by the Kentucky Congressman. In a compromise to conservatives that checks the Speaker’s authority and ensures accountability, he is one of three conservatives chosen by then-Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA ).
On Wednesday night, the three prevented the commission from leaving the Johnson border bill. Johnson did not bind the invoice to the larger package of foreign aid to compel the Senate to pass a bill relating to border safety. Instead, he cast a split vote on a bill as a thank-you to conservatives that would undoubtedly not pass the Senate.

In urging action on the frontier before considering a foreign help item, the conservatives join Mike Johnson in the first six months of his presidency.
Johnson will reportedly remove the three conservatives from the Rules Committee, according to debate. Rep. Johnson has been publicly requested by Mike Lawler (R-NY ) to do so.
Unfortunately, Johnson was the lead sponsor of the quality appointing the three to the Rules Committee in January 2023.
