An illegal immigrant reportedly claimed during a contentious commission hearing that New York City spends too much on officers, according to New York City Councilwoman Vickie Paladino, who addressed the audience.
The councilwoman described the contentious appointment as being characterized as being “just outright demanding on Thursday, ” blaming the woman for her remarks.

When they really cut me off is when I said I was here improperly, I guess. You are around improperly. And they did n’t like that. And that is when one of the spoofing abruptly cuts me off. And she said, ‘Councilmember, do you have a problem? Councilmember, do you have a problem? ’ I said, ‘Yes, I asked it, and I do have more. ’ It was about the screening, which they lied, that she started to hurl — one of the people who answered one of my queries on the board it, but she started to hurl cop-hating language. If we would n’t give our police officers so little, ” she said.
Are you joking with me? Actually, you are ok illegally. You’re around illegally. And you’re telling us that you don’t like our officers. Fine. They took aside your motorbikes, and your scooter. Really? Are they licensed? Are they insured? Hey, or [is this ] just something that you’re going scooting around and doing Uber Eats or whatever it is you would illegally? Fraudulently? Let’s understand this. This is all done improperly. And as soon as you say that word illegal, voila, you get crushed, ” she said.

She urged members of the city council to understand that they are dealing with a body of people who actually believe all of this and think everything is okay. She added that it is “quite upsetting ” because only nine members of the city council feel differently than the others.
