Governor Ron DeSantis (R-Fla. On Wednesday, Governor Rick Scott signed a bill that mandates that all Florida students receive anti-communism instruction in order to identify the dangers and evils of Communism. ”
For all Florida students in kindergarten through 12th grade, according to Spectrum News 13, Senate Bill 1264 will provide “age-appropriate instruction ” on the history of communism. The outlet reported that the teachings will cover the “increasing threat ” of communism, as well as the “atrocities ” committed in the communist movement.
In a Wednesday press release, the governor’s company noted that Senate Bill 1264 was signed into law on the 63rd celebration of the Bay of Pigs war. The new legislation, according to the press release, may improve Florida’s educational standards by teaching individuals about the “dangers and evils of Marxism.” ”
“The reality will set us free, ” DeSantis said in Wednesday’s media transfer. We wo n’t allow our students to grow up ignorant or be influenced by Communists in their classrooms. Contrary to what we promise, we will make sure that Floridan students are taught the truth about communist ills and risks. ”

During a press event in Hialeah, Florida, DeSantis said the new rules will help the state give “the right base ” for individuals in training. The Florida governor remarked,” We might as well tell the truth when they are in our schools because many of these colleges… teach how excellent socialism is.”
The government explained that the costs will accept the Miami Dade College Institute for Freedom in the Americas to work with Florida International University to “promote the importance of financial and personal freedoms” in addition to mandated that Florida schools teach students about the story of socialism. ”
The act also serves as the foundation for the administration’s recommendation that state lawmakers establish a museum to house the story of socialism, according to the governor’s press release.
Sharing photos of Wednesday’s act filing, DeSantis tweeted, “It’s our responsibility to educate the next generation on the danger socialism poses to a free nation. ”
Florida Education Secretary Manny Diaz Jr. addresses the potential benefits of Senate Bill 1264. According to the new legislation, it will make sure that Florida students do not repeat the communist past and that they are taught the negatives of communism. ”
