‘There is only one answer, revolution revolution’
Anti-Israel activists gather at a second student celebration at Washington University in St. Louis, got something for which they probably did not deal: a judge call.
At the April 13 Resist WashU demonstration against the school’s investments in Boeing ( which allegedly are supporting Israel’s “genocide” of the Palestinians ), campus police gave protesters until 10:30am to disperse or they’d be charged with “trespassing and disturbing the peace. ”
Student Life reports that when the date rolled about, however, a few protesters remained in the Graham Chapel. They will now go to judge on June 4.
We need your help! We need your help! We posted the opposition on WashU’s Instagram page encouraging students to join in halting the permitted student festivities. Join the crowd outside Graham Chapel to support our troublemakers outside. ”
As might be expected, the protesters were not pleased with the turn of events.
Because WashU officials did not comply with the Student Union Senate’s demands to withdraw from Boeing, activist Sarah claimed the disruption was needed.
“Often, ” she said, “figures of authority will encourage people to use sanctioned channels to affect [sic ] change, and that ’s exactly what the student body did. ”
Going through the appropriate channels appears to require that student activist demands be met. But considering that activists were shouting “IDF [ Israeli Defense Forces], KKK, WUPD are all the same ” and “There is only one solution, intifada revolution ” among other things, WashU officials may have a point.

From the account:
Junior Maclean Kelley, one of the activists who was served a court call, said that the song pointed out the similarities between the companies.
“ What [the chant ] means is that all of these organizations are armed, are white supremacists, and [are ] colonizing forces, and that ’s why they’re all the same. ”
Around the same moment, a movie from the Resist WashU Instagram account story showed activists chanting in the temple.
Also, as University officials and WUPD soldiers walked in and around Graham Chapel, activists yelled “shame” at them. …
“ I think Dr. G[onzalez ] should be really embarrassed by how they treat students who are talking back to the University, ” Kelley said. Students will continue to shut down the University as long as it ignores our expectations. ”
Other students blasted WashU as a place of murder and claimed fresh students should be informed that students on this college lack a voice. ”
Eventually, the Resist WashU Instagram accounts demanded that all charges against the 12 protesters be dropped. I disapprove of the university’s excessively disciplinary measures, record of bad using WUPD on dark &; brown systems, history of suppressing pro-Palestinian student activity, and lack of consideration for the safety of these same individuals. ”
