A poor Los Angeles man has gained attention for building an entire home along the side of the freeway, complete with a back door and energy.
Next to the 110 Freeway near Highland Park is a startlingly advanced homeless camp, featuring buildings made of wooden materials, such as umbrellas and houses. One person, however, has taken his living situation to the next level.
“ He has lights, a stove, fridge for food; it ’s in good condition, ” said Cesar, a cousin of the gentleman, who said he has been poor along the freeway for four years, according to KABC.
According to the outlet’s video, the home also has a well-maintained garden with some carefully trimmed shrubs and rock arrangements.

Councilmember Eunisses Hernandez, who represents the place where the 110 Freeway camp is, blamed the homelessness crises on “evictions. ”

Her department also issued a statement regarding the temporary structures, saying that “our outreach teams are working diligently to handle the security concerns raised by this structure and its close proximity to the creek. ”
There are now not ample accommodation options to provide the more than 46,000 people who are experiencing homelessness in Los Angeles, according to the statement.
