Due to a group of migrants allegedly taking control of the industry in the East Harlem neighborhood of New York City, high school football players were denied access to play a sport on Sunday.
The New York Post reported on Saturday that Erik Johansson, the head coach of the Manhattan Kickers ‘ 17-year-old boys travel team, asked his people to leave when they showed up at Thomas Jefferson Park.
According to Johansson, some workers had some opinions about his plea. But, “four or five of them said, ‘You know what, f–k it, we don’t have to leave, we can do whatever we want,’” he explained:

The report comes as illegal immigrants in New York City are making impossible demands, according to Councilwoman Vickie Paladino during a press conference on Friday.
She had just mentioned a committee hearing where illegal newcomers complained about how the town handled their needs:
Palladino spoke about her sensational time at the joint commission hearing, where attendees listened to the testimony of hundreds of undocumented African immigrants in the city. She was shocked by how it ended up.
“ I not heard a bunch of whining, crying. These people are putting the most unreal expectations on New York. We have jumped off this rock. When we listen to people need, desire — that we are racist. … They hate us. Why did you bother to visit this place? She pointed out that they had been offered condoms and that they had claimed that they were prejudiced because they were told that Africans do not use condoms, so she inquired. ”
About 40 younger men from two groups showed up for the sport, according to the Post essay, but 30 people who appeared to be American workers refused to leave the area. As a result, people called for officers, and when soldiers arrived, they asked to see the team team’s city force.
The sport had already been delayed for 30 minutes by Johansson’s assistant, but one version was gradually transmitted. In addition, the team were on top about the situation.
“Even when the match is over, you don’t hear if they’re waiting for you, so even if the officers kicked them out, it may not be around. So we just all agreed, this is too dangerous, ” explained Johansson, who is actually from Sweden, where migrants flooding the region had frequently clashed on the field.
The group has no intention of going back to that area right now.
Parkgoers said,” The West Harlem industry is crowded with teams competing with people for weekends on the carpet. Randall’s Island, which sits on the other side of the Harlem River, was converted into sanctuary space for 2,000 workers last year at the cost of the common youth soccer fields, ” the Post article said.
People in New York City sharing their opinions about the migrant flow are captured on a film that was shot in February.
