After Johnson shepherded a$ 61 billion aid package through the House on Saturday, Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky said he was “personally ” grateful to “Speaker Mike Johnson for the decision that keeps history on the right track.”
The House ground cheerleaders and numerous Democrats who wave Ukraine flags as the bill is passed did long enrage the conservatives from whose ranks Johnson rose, only to beg them with the most vain treachery.

After the vote, Zelensky gleefully posted on X: “ I am grateful to the United States House of Representatives, both parties, and physically Speaker Mike Johnson for the selection that keeps story on the appropriate foot.”
He continued, “The essential U. S. The House now passed a bill that will prevent the war from growing, save thousands of lives, and strengthen both of our countries. ”

That analysis is unclear. The Mike Johnson of a few months ago may undoubtedly have strongly refuted it. However, the longer and fierce pressure campaign from Zelensky, who appeared to charm the tiny Louisiana Congressman during their meeting, was successful.
Johnson’s victory on Saturday marked a remarkable reversal from his long-held status of being fervently opposed to funding international assistance without ensuring the security of the American nation’s own borders.
However, Johnson’s previous deed was celebrated by Zelensky and the Democrats who were gleefully waving a foreign symbol on the floor of the US House of Representatives.
“Thank you, America! ” Zelensky said.
