After other students were removed by law enforcement, anti-Israel protesters apparently set up tents on the grass of Columbia University in New York City.
Video footage posted to X on Sunday recorded pro-Palestinian protesters gathered on the lawn of the university, with tents and signs that said, “End the Siege on Gaza Now, ”“ While You Read, Gaza Bleeds, ” and “Admitted Students Enroll in Revolution. ”
In the movie, several groups of protesters were captured moving their tents across the yard.

This decision comes after Minouche Shafik, chairman of Columbia University, announced in a speech on Thursday that she had authorized the New York Police Department to start clearing the camp out of the campus ‘ South Lawn.
In a speech, Shafik wrote:
This morning, I had to make a selection that I hoped would never be needed. I’ve always said that my top priority is the security of our community, and that we must keep an environment that allows everyone to know in a supportive environment. I gave the New York Police Department the ultimatum to start clearing the camp from the South Lawn of Morningside school that had been set up by individuals in the early days of Wednesday night out of an presence of concern for the safety of Columbia’s school.
More than 100 pro-Palestinian activists were detained on Thursday, according to Shafik’s speech.
Rep. Isra Hirsi, the daughter of Ilhan Omar (D-MO), made it known on social press on Thursday that she had been one of the individuals who had been suspended from Barnard College due to her role in the anti-Israel camp at Columbia University.
Hirsi was even a part of the demonstrators who were detained on Thursday in connection with the university’s anti-Israel demonstration.
Since Hamas, a U. S. Anti-Israel demonstrations have risen all over the United States and internationally, with more than 1,200 Israelis dead and more than 200 individuals taken as hostages as a result of the terror-designated Islamic terror group’s land, water, and air attack on October 7.
Breitbart News reached out to Columbia University for a speech, but it was unable to provide a response by the time of publication.
