NEW DELHI: The Civil Defense Agency in Gaza reported on Monday that health workers had discovered around 200 bodies of people who had been shot and buried by Israeli troops at a clinic in Khan Yunis over the past three weeks.
When asked for comment, the Israeli government said:” We will come up to you on the subject. “
Mahmud Bassal, official for Gaza’s Civil Defence, told AFP that” legal military personnel are also recovering body from outside Nasser Medical Complex, and since Saturday body of nearly 200 martyrs have been retrieved”.
According to Bassal, several of the recovered body had decomposed.
He claimed that the legal defense attempts are still being made, but the process is still challenging.
On Sunday, Bassal told AFP that some of those killed had been tortured.
Ali al-Thawabta, head of the Hamas government advertising business in the Palestinian country, gave a higher number of 283 body found at the doctor.
” We discovered mass graves inside Nasser Medical Complex” of people killed by” the occupation ( Israeli ) army”, Thawabta told AFP.
” We demand an international inspection to closely examine these offences against civilians, babies, and women,” he said.
Senior civil defense firm official Muhammad al-Mughayir confirmed the bodies ‘ discovery and said work would continue until Thursday to get the remaining corpses.
On February 2nd, severe fighting broke out in the Nasser hospital, and on February 26 Israeli tanks and armored vehicles surrounded it.
In the Jewish offensive against Hamas, which controls the Gaza Strip, facilities were spared.
Hamas is accused by the Israeli government of using hospitals and medical facilities as control centers and to maintain hostages taken from them in the October 7 attack.
    Hamas denies the allegation
The World Health Organization said on April 6 that the Arab state’s largest doctor, Al-Shifa in Gaza City, had been reduced to ashes by an Israeli assault last quarter, leaving an “empty tank” containing some body.
WHO agents who gained access to the devasted service described horrifying displays of bodies that were only partially buried, their arms sticking out, and the odor of decay.
After the radical party launched an attack on southern Jewish communities on October 7, Israel is engaged in a broad military assault against Hamas militants in Gaza.
1,170 people were killed as a result of the extraordinary assault, according to an AFP tally based on official Jewish images.
Some 250 persons were abducted to Gaza during the invasion, of whom 129 remain prisoner, including 34 the Israeli army says are useless.
Israel’s hostile offensive has so far killed at least 34,151 persons in the Gaza Strip, mainly women and children, according to the health department in the Hamas-run place.
