During an appearance on FNC’s “Sunday Morning Futures, ” Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA ) declared House Speaker Mike Johnson ’s (R-LA ) speakership over on the heels of the passage of a package of foreign aid bills for Israel, Taiwan and Ukraine.
“Congresswoman, regards very much for being here, ” host Maria Bartiromo said. I want to allow you to speak up in response to your reviewers. First of, yesterday, we saw the charges pass, and you did never report the movement to depart. Why no? ”
“That’s right, Maria, ” Greene replied. I have always taken responsibility for this. I back our lot, and I back having it in 2025. But I’m a representative of the people, Maria. And I do not reflect Washington, D. C. , New York Times, any of these internet outlets, and even the speaker himself are being criticized by my Democratic colleagues. The majority of those people have lost their way and are n’t paying attention to the American people. The population has grown tired. ”
“Last Monday was Tax Day, April 15,” she continued. And Washington violated the American people by spending$ 93 billion on foreign war while doing nothing to secure our borders. That is a perfect deception. The American people saw the United States ‘ House of Representatives ground, where Congress was waving the Ukrainian flag, on television screens and social media all over after this bill was passed. ”
“All of this was possible because of the disappointments of Mike Johnson, Maria, ” Greene added. He has fully betrayed the Republican Party. He has fully betrayed Republican citizens throughout the nation. And he is definitely working for the Democrats, passing the Biden administration ’s plan. Therefore, this candidacy is entirely over. Just Mike Johnson is trying to hold onto it, and he is completely neglect. ”
