EL PASO, Texas ( Border Report ) – Police in Juarez, Mexico, are investigating an incendiary device attack on a money exchange house whose operators reportedly were threatened by criminals.
Firefighters were called to a ribbon shopping centre near the corner of Americas and Mejia just after midnight on Tuesday to put out the flames at the Centro Cambiario Missouri. The glass windows of the tower were broken and bottles filled with an unknown water were found at the scene.
Juarez authorities told a Border Report camera team the company had recently been targeted for bribery. Dozens of wealth transfer houses operate mostly in tourist places of Juarez. The broken firm is about half a mile north of the Bridge of the Americas port of entry to El Paso, Texas.
Even on Tuesday, some fire trucks were called to the scene of an evident oil blast inside a house in the Portales de San Pedro area. The storm tore down a roof, shattered panels and knocked down a wrought-iron border. Some local homes had small damage
