Apparently, TikTok in China is considering its options in light of the U.S. Senate’s sale-or-ban policy, which President Joe Biden has signed for his signature.
According to a report from Axios, TikTok will be doing everything in its power to oppose the policy that would require its China-based family business ByteDance to buy the social media platform or get banned in the US.

The Chinese application may be looking at several possibilities, with the first apparently being to fight the policy in court, even after the bill is signed by President Biden.
Unfortunately, the Chinese firm — whose parent firm is indebted to a socialist regime — plans to file a complaint on First Amendment grounds after the bill is signed by the U. S. leader, according to Axios Pro Tech Policy , reporter Ashley Gold. TikTok reportedly intends to sack its General Counsel, the executive who would have led this conflict, according to a report from Breitbart News.
If that initiative fails, TikTok reportedly intends to hold off on voting in the United States to see what deals the Chinese company will have to make in the coming year.
Notably, the soon-to-be-signed sell-or-ban legislation, which allows ByteDance to sell TikTok almost a year before the app is prohibited in the United States, is notable.
As a last resort,  , ByteDance could create a” TikTok U. S”. as an , independent company with its own stock, separate from the Chinese TikTok, according to Axios Pro Rata author Dan Primack.
Given that ByteDance is a member of the communist regime, the Chinese Communist Party currently has access to TikTok user data and will likely do everything in its power to prevent that from being given up.
Despite claims of independence, TikTok insiders recently claimed that the company collaborates closely with its Chinese parent ByteDance.  , According to one insider, they were given a fake U. S. executive to report to, while regularly sending sensitive user data to communist China. As Breitbart News reported:
In one example, Evan Turner, who worked as a senior data scientist at TikTok from April to September 2022, said that he first reported to a ByteDance , executive in Beijing, but at some point was told to start reporting to a Seattle- based executive.
The only issue was that this American TikTok executive did not exist, according to Turner, other than on paper.
An HR , representative followed up with Turner in a separate conversation and informed him that he would actually still be working with the Chinese ByteDance executive, the ex-TikTok employee said.
Axios noted that the communist government may also “water down” a sale of TikTok by forbidding the inclusion of the app’s renowned algorithm.
According to a report from Breitbart News, China has been secretly lobbying the United States Congress in relation to TikTok, according to Capitol Hill staffers with knowledge of the situation. In an ostensible attempt to meddle in U.S. elections, TikTok has also purchased$ 2.1 million in television advertising in the battleground states.
After years of concern over Chinese communists operating a well-known social media platform that has proven to be a danger for children and teenagers and whose parent company has already been caught snooping on journalists, the decision to ban TikTok in the U.S. comes as a result of years of concern over the popular platform’s parent company, which has already been found to be a target of journalists ‘ snooping.
Additionally, TikTok is widely considered a national security threat, with lawmakers already having banned the Chinese app from U. S. government devices.
