Florida is vowing to combat the Biden administration’s radical shifts to Title IX.
The new Title IX requirements, which are being interpreted as promoting sex confusion, will not be embraced in the Sunshine State, according to a text penned by Manny Diaz Jr., the Florida Commissioner on Education.
According to the letter to supervisors and charter school rulers,” On Friday, April 19, 2024, the United States Department of Education released a final rule making significant modifications to the rules implementing Title IX,” he wrote in the letter. Title IX is a “relatively short, straightforward anti-discrimination statute” that says that” no person in the United States shall be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to prejudice under any training program or exercise receiving Federal
The deadline for implementation is August 1, 2024. Florida does combat this. No educational entity should start implementing any modifications under the leadership of Governor Ron DeSantis, Diaz wrote in the letter, claiming that President Joe Biden’s administration “mashes the act beyond recognition in an attempt to tease the country to believe that biological sex no longer has any meaning.” According to him, this attempt would force Sunshine State educational institutions to break state and federal laws, including the First Amendment and the state’s Parental Rights in Education Act.
The letter continues:
In Florida, we respect parents ‘ rights to direct their children’s education. We protect our students ‘ safety and privacy. And we make sure that every student has the opportunity to succeed both on and off campus. We’ll continue to push forward with these objectives. I’ll provide guidance on how to put this rule into practice in a way that is in line with our goal of keeping Florida number one in education as legal battles arise and the Department has the opportunity to conduct an analysis of it.
Yep, Florida is fighting back against Biden’s attack on truth. And we’re proud of it!
@CommMannyDiazJr has instructed our schools to not enforce these Title IX changes, and @AGAshleyMoody announced the state will be fighting back in court. https ://t.co/qrhtgDhs8A

In fact, the new regulations use the term “gender identity” to describe specific actions rather than biological sex, which encourages and forces the adoption of transgender ideology. According to Breitbart News,” [S]egregation is discrimination based on gender identity and sexual proclivities, and schools cannot separate people based on sex,” according to the new rules released last week.
Additionally, Secretary of Education Miguel Cardona informed activists that teachers would be required to use the students ‘ preferred pronouns.
” These regulations make it crystal clear that no one should have to abandon their educational aspirations due to discrimination, whether it’s based on pregnancy, sexual orientation, gender identity, or other sex- based factors”, Cardona reportedly said.
