A private photographer is suing Megan Thee Stallion, alleging that the singer, her management company, and several other related companies engaged in harassment and other labor-law violations.
The complaint claims that MTS, who is known by her legal name as Megan Pete, had intercourse with a woman who was traveling in an SUV with two other travellers, her and the photographer, Emilio Garcia, in Europe. The lawsuit also alleges that the singer fat- shamed the cameraman, saying things to him such as” You do n’t need to be eating” and” Spit your food out”.
The lawsuit was filed in Los Angeles County Superior Court on Tuesday. Ten unknown individuals, along with administration business Roc Nation, Megan Thee Stallion Entertainment Inc., Hot Girl Touring LLC, and 10 other defendants.
The lawful filing also alleged abuse and a hostile work environment as well as other labour rules violations, including providing unpaid time and waiting periods, providing false wages, failing to stop or stop the abuse, and retaliation.
” This is an career claim for money — with no sexual harassment claim filed and with lurid charges to attempt to embarrass her”, Alex Spiro, Pete’s counsel, said Tuesday via her writer. ” We will deal with this in judge”.
Roc Nation did not respond to a request for comment on the petition right away.
Garcia claims that his September 2023 fire was in retribution for his continued complaints about pay and work breaches.
When Pete reportedly had sex in the SUV, the petition says, Garcia was “embarrassed, mortified and offended throughout the whole ordeal”. He” may not get out of the car as it was both moving and he was in the midst of nothing” in Ibiza, Spain, it says.
The next day, the lawsuit alleges, Pete asked Garcia if he was in the SUV the night before and then told him,” Do n’t ever discuss what you saw”.
The complaint claims that Garcia was hacked into his role as an independent company as of late 2019 when she started working for Pete full-time as a private photographer and that she oversaw or managed both his work culture and the work he did.
Garcia often worked more than 50 hours a month, first for a flat price, the complaint says, and Pete contacted him “at all time” about function. Then, in August of this year, Roc Nation changed his spend framework to a fee-for-service model, where Garcia was still working overtime and performing different tasks but receiving” significantly less” because the charged amounts failed to properly reflect the actual time and effort put forth by the performer.
” Megan only needs to pay our customer what he’s expected, own up to her conduct and leave this sort of sexual harassment and overweight- shaming conduct”, plaintiff’s attorney Ron Zambrano, a partner at West Coast Employment Lawyers, said Tuesday in a statement. Emilio” should never have been forced to drive with her while having intercourse with another person.” Inappropriate ‘ is putting it gently. It is absolutely forbidden to expose this conduct to people.
Garcia is asking for paid income, legal labour- related penalties, attention, punitive damages and legal fees.
