On Thursday, protesters who were setting up an anti-Israel camp at Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois, took the National flag from a pro-Israel counter-demonstrator and made obscene gestures toward others.
On Thursday night, the protesters swarmed a huge grassy place known as Deering Meadow, setting up tents. The college police withdrew, leaving almost 50 anti- Israel demonstrators encamped — and a school in chaos.

The , Daily Northwestern reported that participants in the protest shouted genocidal slogans, such as” Intifada”! From the valley to the lake, Palestine may be completely ( referring to a violent campaign of suicide bombing and terrorist attacks against Israeli Jews )! ( implicating the destruction of Israel and the murder of its 7 million citizens )

A rebel allegedly took the British flag from pro-Israel counterprotesters just outside Deering Meadow. The counterprotester requested that NUPD retrieve the symbol from the camp.

Three counterprotesters are holding an Israeli symbol and standing to the side of Deering Meadow.
