As his business information trial resumes after a week break, former president Donald Trump will be up in a courtroom on Thursday.

His presence comes as&nbsp, the&nbsp, U. S. Supreme Court hears arguments&nbsp, in Washington, DC, over whether he should be immune from prosecution for actions he took during his time as president. The event that will define the limits of political power will be heard by nine justices.

Trump is the first previous leader to face federal criminal charges.

The former president may be asked whether he broke the judge’s gag order, while jurors in New York City will hear more of the former tabloid publisher’s testimony.

Trump requested that he avoid his legal case for the day so that he could attend the high court’s special period, which would decide whether or not to prosecute him for bringing a case against Joe Biden’s 2020 election defeat.

Judge Juan Merchan, a judge in charge of the trial in New York state, turned down that demand.

The AP report details the resumed New York trial after a day off with additional evidence from the first witness for the Manhattan District Attorney, David Pecker, a former National Enquirer editor and a long-time Trump companion.

Judge Merchan may even decide whether to keep Trump in hatred and good him for breaking a gag order that forbids the GOP president from making people statements about testimony, judges, and other parties involved in the case, as Breitbart News reported.
