Former Assistant U. S. Attorney Andrew Weissmann said Wednesday on MSNBC’s” The ReidOut” that Donald Trump’s former Attorney , Kenneth Chesebro is good cooperating with the Arizona lawyers who indicted 17 people in an election situation.
According to an announcement from the state attorney general, a grand jury on Wednesday indicted seven counsel and advisers connected to Donald Trump’s 2020 national campaign as well as 11 Democrats on felony charges related to their alleged attempts to disrupt Joe Biden’s 2020 success. Mark Meadows, a previous Trump White House chief of staff, Rudy Giuliani, Jenna Ellis, John Eastman, Christina Bobb, a major campaign adviser Boris Epshteyn, and former campaign staffer Mike Roman are just a few people who have been charged. After the 2020 election, all are accused of supporting a failed effort to give Trump the state’s electoral votes rather than Biden. Your response to that, Andrew Weissmann”?
Weissmann said,” My response is, I mean, second, you know, well. This is like rounding up the usual offenders”.
He continued,” But what name is not there? Clearly we have talked about Donald Trump and that topic, Chesebro, what this tells me is he’s cooperating. Really cooperating because it makes no sense that he would n’t be charged.
Weissmann continued,” If Chesebro is the person there is the reason why he has n’t been indicted. It has to be that he’s cooperating”.
