Only 13 percent believe former President Donald , Trump , is being treated the same as other” legal defendants”, a Friday CNN poll found.
The survey appears to support Trump’s claim that the White House has political ambitions to bust him and put him in prison.
” This is a witch hunt and it’s a shame and it comes out of Washington”, Trump , told , reporters on Monday. ” It’s in coordination with Washington, everything, including the DA’s office, it’s in coordination with Washington”.
The ballot even found:
- 34 percent said Trump is being treated more harshly , than other accused
- 34 percent , said Trump is being treated more favorably than other plaintiffs
- 19 % claimed they had not heard enough to speak.
- 0 percentage had no mind
Additionally, the survey revealed that the majority of Americans were not comfortable in a good results for the president:
- Only 44 percentage believed that the judge chosen for the event would “be able to reach a sensible verdict.”
- A” fair outcome is in the cards,” according to 56 % of respondents?
The CNN surveys sampled 1, 212 people from April 18- 23 and has a 3.4- place margin of error.
Matthew Colangelo, an former Biden Justice Department ( DOJ) official, delivered the prosecution’s opening statement on Monday in the Trump criminal trial.
Democrat New York County District Attorney Alvin Bragg ‘s , office , recently , hired , Colangelo, a former top DOJ standard, who spent , times targeting Trump at his past work, the , Washington Examiner , reported:
Bragg did not hire Colangelo for his light- neck legal knowledge, which was lacking at the time he joined Bragg’s business. Instead, Bragg valued Colangelo’s “broad information” of the Trump Organization, according to a , New York Times , report , published at the end of 2022, during the same time frame that Bragg was seeking to ramp up his prosecutors efforts against Trump.
Before joining the DOJ in his most recent role, Colangelo worked for Attorney General Letitia James, who conducted extensive legal litigation against Trump and the Trump Organization in the fall of 2022.
During his time in James’s business, Colangelo was involved in Trump’s legal situation and also led federal efforts, which involved, at the time, filing complaints against the Trump administration, as well as investigating the Trump Foundation.
