Jake Tapper, a host for 2024 Republican presidential candidate, responded to the condition on college campuses on Thursday on CNN’s” The Lead” by saying that while there has been some anti-Israel sentiment and anti-semitism, “most of them are peaceful, most of them are in support of Arab right,” and that” that’s not what the neo-Nazis in the Unite the Right rally were doing. That did not result in a peaceful protest that turned unpleasant. It was disgusting from the beginning.
After former Trump White House Lawyer Jim Schultz stated that Charlottesville was a terrible problem for Trump socially, Tapper said,” Jim raised this truly exciting point, David and Jamie, which is, why send up Charlottesville? Like, that is one of the ugliest events of his presidency, and indeed, we are seeing rallies all over the country, most of them relaxing, most of them in support of Arab right. There has been some pro- Israel mood and there has been some racist sentiment, without question. However, the Neo-Nazis attending the Unite the Right protest did not intend to do that. That did not result in a peaceful protest that turned unpleasant. It was disgusting from the beginning.
