You know what may help the offense- ridden, medication- infested, feces- festooned roads of San Francisco?
Pandas. A couple of sweet, soft, huge pandas.
Democrat Mayor London Breed flew to China for a year to take some of those amazing rascals back to the San Francisco Zoo, being just as chief she is.

” According to Breed’s business, the governor traveled to China for a week- much, multi- town journey that included meetings with government, business and airline officials. During the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation event last year, San Francisco hosted Chinese President Xi Jinping and Chinese Ambassador to the United States Xie Feng, according to Fox News Digital.
” We think that with increased airlines, business opportunities, penguins, the economic prospects for San Francisco may be important”, Breed told investigators before her departure.
She left Fog City on Sunday with some positive reports.
San Francisco is “proposed to face a$ 245 million gap in the coming fiscal season, which starts in July, and a$ 555 million gap in the next time,” according to Axios, but if she can squander the funds and get Beijing’s approval, those wonderful wood bandits will soon be sat in a California enclosure.
Breed does n’t know exactly how much getting them to San Francisco will cost her troubled taxpayers, but she’s confident she can make it happen.
” We expect a pair of penguins, and they are ideally expected to come as soon as we’re able to raise the sources, do all the permitting, continue to work with the animals and conservation team in Beijing for all the paperwork”, the president told KTVU.
It’s happening: the pandas are coming to San Francisco!

Strangely, not everyone appreciated Breed’s efforts.
Not a single San Franciscan would respond to a thousand questions about the city’s biggest issue, according to Assembly Republican Leader James Gallagher, who questioned a thousand San Franciscans on Fox News Digital. They would claim to be sick of the city’s problems, sick of rising crime, and of being fed up with a dysfunctional government.
” Rather than boosting public relations for the Chinese Communist Party, Mayor Breed should focus on fixing San Francisco’s death spiral”, Gallagher suggested.
Brian Jones, the leader of the California Senate Minority, was equally unsatisfied.
Mayor London Breed’s choice to travel to China to hunt pandas as her city battles escalating crime and homelessness is a disgraceful evasion of her responsibilities to ensure the safety of San Francisco residents, he said. ” Her misguided focus on photo ops abroad only highlights her total disregard for the utterly incomprehensible needs of those in her own backyard,” she said.
After a fantastic trip to China, back in SF!
As many of you may be aware of, we’re excited to soon welcome our very own pandas. I wanted to share a little bit about my time with them at Shanghai Wildlife Park.

In the City by the Bay, crime is a problem.
According to Fox News Digital:
In most categories, crimes in San Francisco reported to police declined in 2023 compared to 2022, but not as much as the rest of the country, statistics from the FBI show. In 2023, there were 50, 744 crimes reported in the city across all categories. In 2022, San Franciscans reported 54, 649 crimes, a 7.2 % decrease year- over- year.
However, robberies increased 14.8 % in 2023 over the prior year, and motor vehicle thefts went up 6.3 % from 2022. So far this year, the city has recorded 11, 077 crimes, down 29.7 % from the same period in 2022.
Doug Yakel, a spokesman for the San Francisco International Airport, is in favor of Breed’s trip to China. He claims that increased air travel could save the city millions of dollars in the hopes that three China-based airlines will conduct business at SFO.
” It’s so powerful what it represents, not only for our airport but for local economies”, Yakel told KTVU. We examine a single flight, and I’m talking about a daily flight from China to SFO. It can be upwards of$ 175 million in annual revenue and 1, 200 jobs in the Bay Area total, and that’s just one flight”.
Perhaps, but Jones believes Breed should leave the pandas to San Diego.
” ]E ] veryone knows that the San Diego Zoo is world- famous for their panda exhibit”, Jones said. Instead of competing with San Diego or San Francisco,” Mayor Breed should concentrate on fixing San Francisco.”
