20 soldiers were killed and several others were hurt in an weapons explosion at a foundation in southwest Cambodia on Saturday afternoon, according to Prime Minister Hun Manet.
Hun Manet stated in a Twitter blog that he was “deeply shocked” when he learned of the fire at the bottom in Kampong Speu state. What caused it was n’t immediately known.
Pictures taken from the picture showed troops receiving treatment in a hospital, many severely damaged buildings also molting, and at least one with its ceiling blown off. Homes with holes in their roof were seen in different pictures.
Four buildings- three for backup and a work facility- were destroyed and some military vehicles damaged, Col. Youeng Sokhon, an army officer at the site, said in a short report to army chief Gen. Mao Sophan, posted on social media. He added that 25 people ‘ homes were also damaged. Cambodia, like some countries in the region, has been suffering from an extended heat wave, and the state where the fire took place registered a great of 39 C ( 102 F) on Saturday.
