The Gulf Cartel instituted a duty against people in the Mexican border town of Matamoros, Tamaulipas, for the right to possess plants on their home. The government-protected criminal organization has a longer history of being able to perform in that city completely violence.

Gunmen from the Matamoros party of the Gulf Cartel, known as the Ciclones, began speaking with people in the city this month and advising them that they would have to pay 100 peso, or about$ 5 per month, per huge tree that provides color at their homes. Those who do n’t pay their monthly taxes must cut down trees, or they will be punished.

This practice was already in place in the Tamaulipas cities of Valle Hermoso and Rio Bravo, and it was n’t until this month that Matamoros started implementing it. Due to the widespread involvement of local and state government officials, the Gulf Cartel has a long record of being able to steal innocent victims and companies.

According to a report from Breitbart Texas last year, the Gulf Cartel yet used people who were alleged town people to extract money from local companies. Perhaps these people would offer receipts for the blackmail. These “fees” were rather given to the Gulf Cartel and not paid to the city.

In a different case, Breitbart Texas entirely revealed that one of the city’s former top civil defense department employees had worked as a Gulf Cartel enforcer. He just entered prison for abductions carried out by members of the criminal business. Additionally, that person was one of several town employees who was the subject of an investigation for allowing the Gulf Cartel to employ city ambulances to secretly transport a group of American citizens who had been kidnapped by the cartel.

Editor’s Statement: Breitbart Texas traveled to Mexico City and the state of Tamaulipas, Coahuila, and Nuevo León to attract member editors willing to risk their lives and highlight the cartel silencing their populations. If no moniker was used, the writers would be in for a certain death at the hands of the different cartels operating in those regions, including Los Zetas and the Gulf Cartel. &nbsp, Breitbart Texas ‘ Cartel Chronicles&nbsp, are published in both English and their original&nbsp, Spanish. This article was written by “J.” A. Espinoza” from Tamaulipas. &nbsp,
